Your data
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Asaph Creations is a registered business in Ghana, operated by Asaph Nartey as the data controller for this website. Registration number BN007900126. Based in Accra, Ghana, serving clients worldwide. Email: hello@asaphcreations.com.
This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit this site or get in touch, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
2. What we collect, and why
Nothing that identifies you, beyond hosting logs
This site sets no cookies and carries no advertising trackers. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which runs without cookies or browser storage and reports aggregate figures only (pages viewed, referring site, country, browser and device type). It does not build a profile of you and we cannot identify you from it. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own hosting. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (your IP address, browser type, the pages and files requested, and the time) to keep the site secure and available. We do not combine these logs with anything else. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
When you contact us
The Start a project buttons open a short brief hosted on Google Forms. It asks for your name, your email address, what you need and a description of the project, and optionally a WhatsApp number, a timeframe and how you found us. Nothing is sent until you press Submit. Google stores the answers in our Google account (the form, a linked spreadsheet and an email notification to our inbox) under Google's privacy policy, and emails you a copy of what you sent. The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a pre-written message and the email address opens your email app; nothing is sent until you press send there. We use what you send to reply, to quote, and to deliver the work you ask for. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing the contract once agreed. WhatsApp is run by Meta Platforms; your messages also pass through their service under WhatsApp's privacy policy.
When you become a client
For a project we keep what the project needs: your brief, brand assets, drafts, approvals, invoices and payment records. Legal basis: the contract between us, and our legal duty to keep accounting records.
When you buy a digital product
SeedForge and any other digital products are sold through Selar. Selar handles checkout and payment; we never see your card details. Selar passes us your name, email address and purchase record so we can deliver the product and support you. Selar's own policy applies to the checkout: selar.com/privacy.
Community
Asaph's Creative Buddies runs on Telegram. Joining is your choice and happens inside Telegram under Telegram's privacy policy. We can see your Telegram display name and what you post in the group.
Children
This site is for brands, businesses and working creatives. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.
3. Content and links from other companies
Some of the project videos on this site can fall back to an Instagram embed. The embed does not load until you click "Load from Instagram". When you do, Instagram (Meta) receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under Meta's privacy policy. Links to Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp, Selar and other sites take you to services we do not control. Check their policies before sharing anything there.
We share personal data only with the providers named above (Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, email forwarding to our inbox and visit counting; Google for the project brief form and the inbox itself; WhatsApp; Selar; Telegram), with professional advisers where needed, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Some of these providers process data outside Ghana, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens they rely on their own contractual safeguards, which are described in the policies linked above.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 12 months after our last message, then deleted.
- Client project files and correspondence: for the length of the project and up to 2 years after delivery, so we can support revisions and re-exports, unless you ask for earlier deletion.
- Invoices and payment records: 6 years, as required for tax and accounting in Ghana.
- Hosting logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling period (typically 30 days or less) and then discarded.
5. Your rights
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place with similar law, you have the equivalent rights under that law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Ghana the regulator is the Data Protection Commission.
To use any of these rights, email hello@asaphcreations.com. We answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so we do not hand your data to someone else.
6. Security, changes and contact
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to client files and messages is limited to Asaph Nartey. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send card numbers or passwords over WhatsApp or email.
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Questions: hello@asaphcreations.com.
